She had a great time!
We went to Casa Bonita with the Schettlers for Grayce's birthday. Joy loved that Zach took her around to play the games and get prizes. And Heather and her little sister were there too! Joy loved the Mariachi band and Mama got an aerobic workout with Joy on her hip bouncing to the music for an entire song!
The next night, we went to the Pratts for Nick's birthday party and met lots of people! At first Joy was being shy and a little coy. She loves to act like she doesn't understand what you're saying, when she really does. I'm sure it was a little overwhelming, but it didn't take long for her to see all those toys under the pool table. That was great.
And trying to climb the pole like Nick was great too. Playing with the billiard balls was fun, even if Mama did keep telling her to keep her hands off the table...
I think the most fun was throwing ribbons up in the air and saying "Happy New Year!" with Aunt Kiki laughing and egging her on! Certainly was the cutest moment of the day!
Joy asked all the next day, and today as well, "Joy's friends?". I'm pretty sure she wants to know when she'll see them again! Soon, I'm sure!
Here is a picture of Joy in Uncle Larry's lap. She really didn't hesitate when he said it would be okay to sit there.
We also got to see the Henry's for just a short visit. Joy and Lani were hand in hand in no time. This picture is right before Joy's bottom slipped out of the seat and Tim caught her in mid-air! Thank God for miracles, big and small!
