Sledding!

We were able to take 2 days off and get up to Winter Park with some friends. Joy is at the stage where she is asking what will happen each day. So she knew that Tuesday we were going to the mountains to play in the snow. For some reason, she latched on to "snowman" and that's what she wanted to do - make a snow man. Unfortunately, the snow was too dry to do that, so she had to settle for - - -
SLEDDING!!

If I doubted it before, I don't now! This child is fearless! But in the best way! She watched other kids doing it first, then climbed on the sled with Tim. She didn't say anything, just nodded that she was okay. Then off they went, and you could hear the squeal of delight all the way down! The smile on her face when they stopped at the bottom was beyond words!

She almost immediately wanted her own sled. She went and picked one out from the group of plastic sleds they had there in the park. She was observing which ones the other kids had and how fast they went, I'm sure. She decided, after a few solo runs, that it was time to go head first.

So, she plopped down head first and pushed herself off before we could tell her to keep her hands inside. She didn't go far or very fast, and was clearly disappointed. So once the mechanics were explained, she tried again and screamed with glee all the way down!

I'm not sure which person had the most fun though - her, Tim or Michael! As you can see from the pictures, they all had a good time!
